Advisory Boards and Commissions Seek Applicants

The League of Women Voters of Larimer County recommends two ways for a person to participate in their local government. Becoming an Observer of meetings allows you choice of agencies and topics (try more than one!). Reach to us at info@citizenobserversco.co. Another option is to apply to directly serve as member of a board or commission. These opportunities are now available:

Larimer County

Several Larimer County boards and commissions are currently accepting applications. Consider the options here: https://www.larimer.gov/boards#/boards Openings are on the Flood Review Board, Community Corrections Advisory Board, Behavioral Health Consumer Advisory Committee, and the Retirement Board.

City of Fort Collins

Want to provide feedback about natural areas management in the city? Apply to serve on a City of Fort Collins Board or Commission! With 23 options, including Land Conservation and Stewardship, Affordable Housing, and the city’s Disability Advisory, there's a place for your voice. Members serve 2- and 4-year terms depending on the board or commission and must reside within the Fort Collins Growth Management Area. Applications are open now through Jan. 10. Help shape the future of Fort Collins.

City of Loveland

If your preference would be to serve Loveland, at the moment there are no vacancies on Loveland boards and commissions, but you can familiarize yourself with the wide range of future opportunities here and watch for openings.
