Resolution No. 20-2025 was unanimously approved to support a T-Mobile Hometown Grant Application for a Wellington Veteran Garden project. The grant is expected to be $50,000 and according to the Deputy Town Administrator Houghteling, that should be enough to cover costs. The design includes flags representing each branch of the military, a peaceful walkway with benches, and thoughtfully enhanced landscaping to create a welcoming and respectful environment. The project will not include a wall due to lack of space. The Veteran Garden is currently planned at Wellington Community Park near the dog park.
Resolution No. 21-2025 was unanimously approved appointing Mayor Pro Tem Mason as liaison to the Upper Front Range Transportation Planning Council (UFR-TPR). Wellington has been a member since 1993 but never had any formal representation. Town Administrator Garcia said Mayor Chaussee suggested that Pro Tem Mason become a voting member and liaison to represent the town and Mason accepted the appointment.
From the Packet: The mission of the UFR TPR is to improve safety and deliver a multimodal transportation system that efficiently moves people and goods across the region. In alignment with this mission, TPR develops a 20- year Regional Transportation Plan, which identifies transportation priorities and infrastructure needs for integration into the Statewide Transportation Plan.
