The board approved $5,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County to support the Summer of Discovery program in Wellington.

- June 17 Special meeting minutes to discuss a resolution authorizing the acquisition of certain properties and easements along Cleveland Avenue right-of-way. The acquisition negotiations are for the town’s Main Street project. Eminent Domain can be filed if negotiations are not settled.
Allison Hines, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County requested $5,000 from the board to help with the Summer of Discovery program. This is a 7–8-week workforce exploration that helps high school students with possible career choices that may be available to them after graduating from high school. Hines said the summer budget is $65,238. All trustees supported the request. Sage Homes Developer Daren Roberson said he would match the town’s funding if the board wanted to increase the funding to $10,000 instead of $5,000. The trustees agreed if the Boys & Girls Club needs more funding, they can come back later for reconsideration. The board unanimously approved the $5,000 funding request.

The meeting was adjourned at 7:08 p.m. and the board went into Executive Session to receive legal advice regarding ongoing matters with North Poudre Irrigation Company.
