Town Finance Director/Treasurer Redavid reviewed the final auditor’s report from Dec. 31, 2023. The auditors said no adjustments were needed and all financial positions were presented fairly. Colorado government accepted the final audit report.

The board unanimously approved an agreement between the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office for law enforcement services and the town of Wellington.

The board approved an additional $238 for the Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County to support the Summer of Discovery program in Wellington, bringing the total grant from the town to $5,238.

2023 Audit is complete and accepted so that state funds may be received. The Colorado State Auditors accepted the results and all property tax funds for 2023 will be released back to the city, as well as funds from the state conservation fund. Board members thanked Redavid for taking control of Wellington's finances and successfully completing several audits for previous years.

All items on the Consent Agenda were unanimously approved. Details are in the packet.

  1. July 8, 2025, meeting minutes
  2. Resolution No. 26-2025: To consider and approve a contract for Roof Replacement Services at the Water Reclamation facility
  3. Authorization to the town Treasurer to sign an engagement letter with Hinkle & Company PC for the audit of 2024 Financial Statements at a cost of $29,800.

The board unanimously approved an agreement between Wellington and the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office for law enforcement. A change to the standard agreement allows for either party to terminate the contract with 180 days’ notice from the other party. The change replaces an expiring 5-year agreement on services. Both the cities of Berthoud and Timnath have accepted the new terms.

At the July 8 board meeting, the board unanimously approved a request from Allison Hines, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County for $5,000 to help with the Summer of Discovery program. Sage Homes Developer Roberson said the Boys & Girls club needed a total of $10,238, and that he would match the town’s funding if the board increased their funding to $10,000 instead of $5,000. Tonight, the board unanimously approved an additional $238, and encouraged Roberson to match their $5,000, bringing the total to $10,238 for the Boys & Girls Club summer program. Board members agreed that using additional funds from the towns’ discretionary fund account could limit other businesses or residents who apply for grants.
