Main Topics
The commission approved an applicant’s site development plan and preliminary plat for lot 7 and lot 8 of the Wellington Business Center along the I-25 west side Frontage Rd.
The Planning Commission unanimously approved a request from an owner/developer of approximately 9 acres for their site development plan and preliminary plat. Lots 7 and 8 are a part of the Wellington Business Center, located along the west I-25 Frontage Road. The Wellington Business Center property was originally platted in 2015, and multiple commercial tenant buildings have already been constructed over the last several years. This phase of the property is zoned C-3 mixed-use commercial allowing a wide range of business, office, retail, restaurant and service-related uses.
Lots 7 and 8 will be a phased development. According to Planning Director Bird, current utility easements on the smaller lot 8 (west side of the property) must be vacated and relocated to the larger lot 7 (closest to the frontage road). The owner/developer has been notified by the city that the rooftops with vents and HVAC units must be screened from the public view.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:28 p.m.
