Highlights

  • Town Manager Shane Hale promoted the upcoming Windsor Harvest Festival over Labor Day weekend.
  • The Board moved to an Executive Session to discuss its negotiation strategy for the Northern Integrated Supply Project (NISP) amid recent reports of rising costs and the withdrawal of the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District.

Mayor Cline proclaimed September 5, 2025 as Dennis Markham Day to honor his 41 years of dedicated service as Windsor’s Wastewater Services Superintendent.

Board Action

Kimberly Lambrecht, Long Range Planner, requested cancellation of the public hearing regarding 512 Main Street’s historic landmark designation. The applicants withdrew their request but intend to resubmit in the future.

Communications

Town Clerk Karen Fawley announced the 2025 Windsor Citizens Academy begins September 2, with 21 citizens participating in the 8-week course designed to provide residents with an in-depth understanding of local government.

Town Manager Shane Hale promoted the Windsor Harvest Festival events happening this Labor Day weekend. The Town BBQ and fireworks are planned for Saturday, the car show on Sunday at Windsor High School, and the parade on Monday beginning at 9am.

Town Board Member Symsack noted the unveiling of new Sculpture on Loan pieces on Sunday, August 31 at the west end of Windsor Lake along Dr. Tom Jones Trail.

The Board adjourned into Executive Session to discuss negotiation strategy regarding the Northern Integrated Supply Project (NISP), a major water infrastructure initiative in Northern Colorado. Recent reports indicate the project is facing rising costs and the withdrawal of the Fort Collins-Loveland Water District.
